Vacuum forming begins with a thermoplastic sheet that is heated to form a drape. This drape is then drawn over or into the mold, assisted by vacuum holes in the mold, to impart the desired shape of the part. A common form of vacuum forming is called Vacuum assisted resin transfer molding (VARTM). In this infusion process, a vacuum draws a resin into a one-sided mold. A cover, or bag, is placed over the top of the resin to form a vacuum-tight seal, and then the vacuum is applied, drawing the resin into the mold. Products & Services
Composite and fiberglass molding services perform injection molding, blow molding, compression molding, rotational molding, thermoforming, and dip molding.
Thermoforming and vacuum forming equipment forms thermoplastic sheets or films over molds into finished shapes.
Mold releases and release agents are film forming lubricating oils, solid lubricants, waxes, fluids or coatings that prevent other materials from sticking or adhering to an underlying surface.
Plastic fabrication services provide custom machining, bending, forming and assembly of plastic parts. Companies may use any of several types of joining techniques in assembly such as fasteners, welding and gluing.
Plastic molding services use a number of different molding techniques to produce components, including thermoplastic and thermoset injection molding, blow molding, rotational molding, thermoforming, structural foam molding, compression molding, resin transfer molding (RTM), and others.
