Compact Disc-Read Only Memory (CD-ROM) drives read information stored on compact discs (CDs). CD-ROM discs are the same type of disc you buy at a music store. A single CD-ROM disc can store more than 600 MB of data. Compact disc recordable (CD-R) drive is a type of disk drive that can create CD-ROMs and audio CDs. The CD-R drive is a write-once, read many (WORM) type of device. It uses a special recordable Compact Disc-Read Only Memory disc that, once recorded, can be played back or read in any standard CD-ROM drive. Products & Services
