Autophoretic ® or autodeposition coating systems are specialized immersion or dip coating processes where the dispersed coating is attracted to a submerged part without the application of an applied electrical voltage. Autodeposition coating processes use a mild acid to etch the surface of a steel part and release iron ions. The dispersed vinyl coating particles (latex) bind to the iron ions and then reattach to the metal surface. Next, the parts are processed with a low temperature cure. Autophoretic® is a trademark name for the autodeposition process manufactured by Henkel Surface Technologies. Products & Services
Painting, coating and finishing system integrators provide finishing lines, turnkey coating machines and large-scale systems for production finishing operations. Typically, finishing lines are designed to OEM requirements and are installed on site.
