Radio Frequency Drying Systems

In radio frequency drying systems, such as RF ovens, an RF generator creates an alternating electric field between two electrodes. The material to be processed in the radio frequency drying system is conveyed or placed into the RF oven between the electrodes where the alternating energy causes polar molecules in the material to continuously reorient themselves to face opposite poles, much like the way bar magnets behave in an alternating magnetic field. The friction resulting from molecular movement causes the material to rapidly heat throughout its entire mass. Areas in the material with greater moisture content heat up and dry faster.

Products & Services
Laboratory ovens are used in a variety of thermal processing applications including general lab work, component and stability testing, core hardening, drying glassware, and sterilizing.  Search by Specification | Learn more about Laboratory Ovens
Vacuum ovens are heat-treating ovens that use a low atmospheric pressure instead of a protective gas atmosphere. This helps to alleviate surface reactions.  Search by Specification | Learn more about Vacuum Ovens
Industrial kilns are very high temperature thermal processing units, used for firing ceramics or calcining minerals.  Learn more about Industrial Kilns
Induction heaters use an electrical source to drive alternating current (AC) through a coil to heat metal objects. Learn more about Induction Heaters
Ferrite ceramics and ferromagnetic materials have dielectric and magnetic properties that are suitable for RF and microwave applications. They provide high electrical resistivity and low magnetic losses. Learn more about Ferrite Ceramics and Ferromagnetic Materials
