RS232 is a standard interface approved by the Electronic Industries Association (EIA) for connecting serial devices. This popular, serial communications standard provides asynchronous communication capabilities with hardware flow control, software flow control, and parity checking. Most gears, instruments with digital control interfaces, and communication devices have an RS232 interface. The typical transmission speed for RS232 is 9600 bps at 15 m. Products & Services
Serial communication products are used in industrial and commercial systems to transmit data bit-by-bit, or sequentially, over a single wire. They include serial servers, serial hubs, serial adapters, serial data converters, serial routers, and serial multiplexers.
Serial communication adapters provide one or more serial ports to a host computer. They interface with the host computer via a data bus and add RS232, RS422, RS485 and/or other types of serial ports.
Serial data converters are used to interconnect two different serial standards, such as RS232 to RS422, USB to RS232, etc.
IC interfaces are semiconductor chips that are used to control and manage the sharing of information between devices.
Network and communication chips are semiconductor integrated circuits (IC) used in telecommunication devices and systems.
