GYLON BIO-LOK™ Gasket Solves Typical Tri-Clamp Problems

From Garlock Sealing Technologies

Companies in the pharmaceutical, food, dairy, cosmetic, and other hygienic industries typically use Tri-Clamp gaskets to join pipework, valves, vessels, pumps, and other connections. Just as typically, they experience issues with these gaskets, such as intrusion, leaking, and outright failure. Now, however, that has all changed. The solution is Garlock's newest gylon engineered PTFE gasket - an innovative breakthrough product known as gylon bio-pro in Europe and gylon bio-lok in the Americas. These gaskets deliver superior dimensional stability, recovery, and temperature and media resistance. Designed to overcome the complications of conventional elastomer hygienic Tri-Clamp gaskets, gylon bio-pro/gylon bio-lok gaskets: * prevent intrusion into sanitary pipe fittings, so there are no issues of flow restriction or cross-contamination; * withstand thermal cycling and vibration that loosen clamps. This eliminates the risk of leaks and additional gasket intrusion during the retightening process; * withstand higher temperatures during steam sterilization; * are suitable for use with aggressive cleaning agents; * address costly stocking issues by providing one gasket for multiple process applications; and * provide easy installation and removal, without sticking to ferrules.

Products & Services
Metal ring seals are static devices that can withstand high operating temperatures, pressures, and vacuums. They can also withstand cryogenic conditions and high face-to-face cycling. Search by Specification | Learn more about Metal Ring Seals
Hydraulic seals and pneumatic seals include piston seals, rod seals, U-cups, vee, cup, and flange packings. Search by Specification | Learn more about Hydraulic Seals and Pneumatic Seals
Dynamic seals include oil seals, hydraulic and pneumatic seals, exclusion seals, labyrinth seals, bearing isolators, and piston rings. They create a barrier between moving and stationary surfaces in applications such as rotating shafts and pistons rings.  This is a general search form; more detailed search forms are available. Compression packing seals or gland seals are deformable materials used to prevent or control the leakage of fluid between surfaces that move in relation to each other. Search by Specification | Learn more about Compression Packing Seals
Expansion joints connect two fixed assemblies or pipes and provide allowance for movement due to service load, shock, or thermal cycles. Search by Specification | Learn more about Expansion Joints
