Tactical Datalink Network Management System

Diversified Technology, Inc. is providing PCI-based hardware utilized in a new tactical datalink network management system used by the U.S. Air Force Electronic Systems Center. The custom designed rackmount system features three high-performance, PCI Single Board Computers, the LBC9326. This industrial single board computer features dual 90nm Low-voltage Intel® Xeon® processors with 1MB L2 cache FC-mPGA4, Symmetric Multi-Processing 1.4 compliant, and up to 8GB dual channel, DDR2 SDRAM DIMMs, with full ECC support, on two sockets. By offering new capabilities, the platform will be able to ensure real-time sharing of threat, target and command and control information. Without reliable communications during wartime, commanders are masked from the situation they must control. The systems provide solutions that ensure that the Air Force can exploit the latest communication technologies when they are needed most and will provide the ability to dynamically manage tactical datalink networks.
