Developers

Developers improve flaw visibility by pulling the penetrant retained in a cavity or crack to the surface. Developers are available in dry powder and aqueous forms, depending on the specific penetrant testing method. With the dry powder method, powders are blown onto the part with a bulb, powder applicator or swirl chamber after the application of penetrant to develop or enhance detection of the surface flaw. The fluorescent powder sticks to the penetrant remaining in a flaw or surface crack after cleaning.  With aqueous-based developer methods, the powders are suspended in a liquid that is applied to the part by spraying or immersion.

Products & Services
X-ray fluorescence spectrometers (XRFs) use a spectroscopic technique that is commonly used with solids, in which X-rays are used to excite a sample and generate secondary X-rays.  Search by Specification | Learn more about X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometers
NDT supplies and accessories are components, ancillary equipment, standards, and consumable materials used in non-destructive testing (NDT). Search by Specification | Learn more about Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Supplies and Accessories
Flaw detectors are nondestructive testing instruments that can detect or measure defects in raw materials or finished products. Search by Specification | Learn more about Flaw Detectors
Non-destructive testing (NDT) supplies and accessories are used to detect, inspect, and measure flaws, bond integrity, and other material conditions without permanently altering or destroying the examined part or product.
