The USB-ADP-PC serial adapter is to be used with either the USB2000 or the HR2000 spectrometer when interfacing with PCs. To install the USB-ADP-PC adapter, refer to Figure 2 and use the following procedure: 1. Plug the connector (10 pin) into the spectrometer (right 10 pins on the HR2000). 2. Secure the connector in place with enclosed jackscrew. 3. Using the serial port DB9 cable, connect the USB 2000 or the HR2000 spectrometer to a PC. A USB-CBL-PS 5-volt power supply is required to complete the interface.

PCMCIA serial adapter cards provide one or more serial ports for a host computer. They interface with the host via a PCMCIA card bus and add RS232, RS422, or other types of serial ports.
Multipurpose computer boards can perform numerous, related functions. Examples include modem/fax cards, modem/Ethernet cards, and serial/parallel adapters.
USB connectors are used with universal serial bus (USB) ports. They can be used to connect USB products together, or to connect USB wires and peripherals to other standard port types.
Serial hubs allow the transparent connectivity of serial devices such as instruments, point-of-sale (POS) terminals, and barcode printers with LANs and WANs.
SCSI converters are conversion devices used between different types of SCSI interfaces such as single-ended to high-voltage differential (HVD), or HVD to low-voltage differential (LVD).
