Chloride Analysis in Water

From Advanced Sensor Technologies, Inc.

Chloride analysis is one of the most popular procedures involving ion-selective electrodes. Utilizing chloride selective electrodes, the user is assured of a fast, accurate analysis of the sample. Typically the only concern is sulfide that might be present in the sample. This is likely only in well and swamp waters. Sulfide is easily removed by aeration. Equipment: Meter: pH/Millivolt meter. Readability of 1 mV required, 0.1 mV preferred. Specific ion meter will provide direct readout of final answer or concentration factor. Consult manual for millivolt measurement instructions.

Products & Services
Conductivity electrodes are devices that measure the salinity and conductivity of water samples. Search by Specification | Learn more about Conductivity Electrodes
pH and oxidation reduction potential (ORP) instruments measure or monitor pH (relative concentration of hydrogen ions [H+] in a solution) as well as ORP. Search by Specification | Learn more about pH and Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP) Instruments
Ion selective electrodes measure the potential of a specific ion in solution. This potential is measured against a stable reference electrode of constant potential. Search by Specification | Learn more about Ion Selective Electrodes
Ion specific electrode meters are millivolt meters that interface with ion selective electrodes (ISEs). These meters take the potential generated by the electrode and convert it into units of concentration. Search by Specification | Learn more about Ion Specific Electrode Meters
pH electrodes are analytical sensors for measuring potential of hydrogen (pH), the negative logarithm of the hydrogen ion activity in solution. Search by Specification | Learn more about pH Electrodes
