Core Network Cabinet Application

Diversified Technology, Inc. is providing CPU blades to a leading provider of actuation systems, aircraft control mechanisms, missile components and specialized products. The board used, the CPB4612, is a CompactPCI blade that is based on the low power Intel® Pentium® M processor. It's reduced thermals and increased functionality provides the platform with performance under constricted space requirements, which was required by the program. The end-solution platform is a core network cabinet used on new versions of the 787 aircraft. It includes the necessary file servers, routers and avionics interfaces in a single cabinet, with growth slots for future functionality enhancements. The core network cabinet also supports the broadband connectivity capability provided on the aircraft.
