Pump Control with Variable Frequency Drives

While the inefficiency of driving a car with the gas pedal to the floor and then controlling your speed using the brake is obvious to any driver, many facilities use that very same approach for pump control. Flow control with throttling or restrictive devices, as is often done, sacrifices energy efficiency and results in unnecessary costs.
