Chlorine dioxide is used as an oxidizing microbiocide in industrial cooling water treatment, the dairy industry, the meat industry, and many other food and beverage industry applications. It is used as a bleaching agent in the pulp and paper industry, and as a disinfectant in municipal water treatment. Industrial waste treatment facilities use chlorine dioxide because of its selectivity for certain compounds, including phenols, sulfides, cyanides, thiosulfates, and mercaptans. The oil and gas industry uses chlorine dioxide for downhole applications, as well as a stimulation enhancement additive. The Maximum Residual Disinfectant Level for chlorine dioxide is 0.8 mg/L in drinking water.
Products & Services
Gas generators provide an onsite supply of gas, vapor or humidity (water vapor) eliminating the need for delivery in gas cylinders.
Disinfectors treat water to inactivate, destroy, and/or remove pathogenic bacteria, viruses, protozoa, and other parasites. Common methods include chlorination and alternative disinfectants.
Chemical process and petrochemical gases include pure gases, gas mixtures or gas standards for reactions, water treatment, sterilization, instrumentation calibration, heating and processing in the chemical, petrochemical and pulp & paper industries.
Gas sensors interact with a gas to initiate the measurement of its concentration. The sensor then provides output to an instrument to display the measurements.
Gas transmitters consist of an enclosure, sensor, and electronics that convert a signal from a gas sensor into an analog output signal (typically 4-20 mA).
