DC Surge Protection: The Need for DC Protection at Communications Sites

From Transtector Systems, Inc.

Electrical distribution systems have not changed significantly in decades. Conversely, electrical and electronic
equipment have continued to become more complicated and susceptible to surge damage. Mission critical
communication providers protect their systems from maintenance costs, equipment replacement outlay,
lost revenue and customer dissatisfaction by investing in transient surge protection. Unfortunately with
multiple conductive paths, most communication sites have an aperture to damaging surges.

Products & Services
Lighting protection systems provide reliable electrical connection to the earth or ground and can vary from simple copper rods to sophisticated electrolytic rod systems with active soil moisture replenishment. Learn more about Lightning Protection Systems
