At the Japan Synthetic Textile Inspection Institute, various tests, including test of the characteristics of material for clothing, are conducted according to outside requests. This institute has established branches not only in Japan but also overseas, and contributes to the progress of quality within the industry through the introduction of the latest equipment. Additionally, the examination results are certified as coming from an impartial third party. Tests concerning the colorfastness (the strength of the dye) are conducted based on JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards) for items such as fading, washing, and friction. In JIS, judgment is performed by visual evaluation at present but there are problems such as variations depending on the person. Therefore, this inspection institute has been considering prompt instrumentation of this operation. The tests are performed by applying a stress, such as light, to a part of the cut cloth and judging the degree of its color change in comparison to gray scale.
Products & Services
Electrical and EMC testing services evaluate parts and products for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), electromagnetic interference (EMI), radio frequency interference (RFI), dielectric properties, conductivity, electrostatic discharge (ESD), insulation resistance, and other electrical characteristics.
Textile machinery is used in the fabrication and processing of fabrics and textiles such as spinning, weaving, warping, and dyeing.
Natural fibers and natural fiber fabrics consist of bulk fibers, yarns, or woven cloth manufactured from plant materials such as cotton, wool, linen (flax), sisal, jute, hemp or silk.
Flow and pressure (fluid dynamics) testing services evaluate the flow, pressure and fluid dynamics of components and products such as radiators, heater cores, lines and bottles.
Grinding wheels are used for metal removal, dimensioning, and finishing. They consist of an integral shank, pin, shaft, or mandrel that drives a mounted wheel or blades.
