Q: "What Are Typical PolySlide™ Fabrication Guidelines?" A: A common question when evaluating PolySlide composite cylinder tubing as a cost-effective replacement to DOM aluminum or stainless steel cylinder materials is what are typical fabrication guidelines to the PolySlide product. The following are general guidelines only - should a specific tolerance or capability not be listed in this FAQ, contact a PolyLube™ product engineer (sales@polygoncompany. com) for more design assistance. O.D. Grinding: Centerless Grinding or Sanding: 1/2" - 12 OD" X 120" long. Standard run-out I.D. to O.D. of 0.006" O.D. Grinding On Centers: maximum O.D. of 18 1/2" x 120". Maximum length dependant on diameter. Turning-O.D. Cutting, Boring & External Threads: Manual Lathe: 19 1/2" maximum turning diameter x 120" long. CNC Lathe: 11.8" maximum turning diameter x 50" long Milling-Drilling, Tapping, Internal (I.D.) Grooves, Slots, Internal (I.D.) Threads:
