Aluminum Spools Wound with Rubber Strands

Handling Procedure: Remove aluminum spools wound with rubber strands from the horizontal spindles on a winding machine and transfer them to a cart with horizontal shafts. Problem: The aluminum spools have an inner and outer wall between which a tool can be inserted. However, the opening between the spool walls is curved, has spokes which create four quadrants, and only a 3/4" height into which a tool can be inserted. In addition to supporting the weight of the spool, the tool is to be used to slide the spool off of the spindle. Requirements / Restrictions: ??Spools with wound rubber strands weigh 15 to 150 Lbs. ??Tool must be inserted into the 3/4" high curved openings in the double walled spool. ??Two 12" long spools must be handled at the same time. ??Tooling needs to support the spool weight and will be used to slide the spool off the spindle.
