Handling Description: The application calls for a way to handle large window panels being positioned for installation onto a cab. Some panels are in the vertical orientation and some are stored horizontally.
Problem: How to safely pitch heavy panels, up to 110 degrees, up to 150 lb., varying in size, from vertical to horizontal and rotate through the pitched horizontal axis to line up holes for installation.
Requirements:
*?Large (33' wide) work cell
*?Part locating rotation
*?Handling a wide variety of parts
*?Customer supplied rail system
*?Pitch part more than 90 degrees
*?Prevent damage to the parts
Solutions:
*?Vertical Lift Cylinder on dual rail carriage specifically designed to run on customer supplied light rail system.
*?Vacuum tooling with cups configured to handle a wide range of parts.
*?Bearing assembly with spring-loaded lock providing stops at 90 degree increments and the ability to "float" or precisely position the part in pitched up position.
