Plastic Extruder Monitor

Plastic extrusion is done by heating resin in a barrel, then pushing it through a die that shapes the resin into a continuous, two-dimensional profile. A single plastic resin can be used or different types of materials can be combined. Plastic extrusion is used in hundreds of everyday applications, from making inexpensive insulation to bulletproof Plexi-glass. Complex shapes can also be made, like fittings and machine parts, often at a significantly lower in-place, installed cost.

Data acquisition is the digitizing and processing of multiple sensor or signal inputs for the purpose of monitoring, analyzing and/or controlling systems and processes. Signal conditioning includes the amplification, filtering, converting, and other processes required to make sensor output suitable for rereading by computer boards.
