Jaeco Fluid Systems Inc. has successfully developed a duplex JaecoPak Plunger Metering Pump to pump both a resin and a catalyst at the same time for use in the production of fiberglass products. This pump was developed in conjunction with Fiberglass Systems Inc. of San Antonio, Texas. Special heavy duty valves were developed to handle the high viscous resin used, hardened materials are used in the liquid end components to stand up to the abrasiveness of the resins, and an in phase drive shaft is used in the gear box to drive both pump arms at the same time, allowing premixing of the resin and catalyst at a very precise ratio as it is pumped into the molds .They use several different capacity metering pumps on their product lines, depending on the amount of material required and the ratio of catalyst to resin and amount of material required per product. Fiberglass Systems Inc. is a manufacturer of fiberglass pipe, tanks, covers and other products. There are over 60 Jaeco metering pumps in use in four of their manufacturing facilities around the world. Products & Services
Metering pumps are precision pumps, which dispense an exact amount of material. They are used in a variety of chemical dosing and metering applications.
Fluid transfer pump systems are used in processing, water purification and desalination, or liquid handling applications.
Fiberglass fabrication services include die cutting or converting of glass fabrics, stitching, sewing, draping, laminating, assembly, hand lay-up, spray-up, and other processes for a variety of applications and industries.
Sampling pumps are used to monitor liquids, air, and gases. They are usually portable and developed for specific tasks.
Composite materials typically consist of a matrix and a dispersed, fibrous or continuous second phase. The second phase may reinforce (strengthen or stiffen) the material, alter electrical or magnetic properties, or enhance wear or erosion resistance.
