Igus Inc., the leading developer of Energy Chain cable carriers, Chainflex continuous-flex cables and iglide plastic bearings, now offers Chainflex cables with over-molded connectors. , the leading developer of Energy Chain cable carriers, Chainflex continuous-flex cables and iglide plastic bearings, now offers Chainflex cables with over-molded connectors. Chainflex CF.INI increases the variety of options available to Chainflex customers by adding an easy to specify sensor/actuator cord set for process automation applications to igus line of high-flex cables. Chainflex cables are designed for use in cable carrier systems on automated machinery. The outer jacket of every Chainflex cable is extruded over the conductors for a snug fit. Chainflex CF.INI is based on Chainflex CF9 which has an extremely tight bend radius of five times the outer diameter. This is due to the thin-wall design of both the conductor insulation and the outer jacket. The insulation and jacket of Chainflex CF.INI are made from flexible, anti-abrasive thermoplastic polyester containing fire retardants for increased resistance. It also has a non-porous TPE outer jacket that provides superior chemical resistance. Chainflex CF.INI can withstand severe weather conditions with an approved temperature range of -31 to +212 degrees Fahrenheit. The low-profile, over-molded thermal-plastic connector body with integral strain relief is sealed to prevent the intrusion of water. The connectors are available as straight or right-angle configurations. They also have the option of industry standard M8 or M12 connectors in three, four and five pole configurations. Chainflex CF.INI incurs high mechanical strength from connector coupling rings constructed with rugged, nickel-plated brass. It is available with visible LED indicators to facilitate maintenance checks and reviews of system status and performance. Chainflex cables are available in more than 600 sizes and styles. The line ranges from power and control cables to air hoses, data cables, servo cables and fiber optic
