From World Lasers, Inc.
Kapton DuPont™ 75 micron thick DuPont™ Kapton® polyimide film has more than 40 years of proven performance as the material of choice in applications involving very high or very low operating temperatures. Kapton DuPont™ is widely used as an insulating material across the electronics and aerospace sectors and is commonly cut with Diode Pump solid state lasers. Although some thermal effects are visible, high process speeds are possible with the air-cooled 70W laser; faster cutting would be possible using the 200W laser.
