On April 1, 2012, Kaohsiung Opto-Electronics (KOE), a wholly owned subsidiary of Japan Display Inc (JDI), was formed to advance the design, development and manufacture of market leading TFT LCD display modules previously established by Hitachi Display Products. KOE has an established design and manufacturing facilities in Taiwan. In house design, production and procurement of key components such as LCD glass, color filters, LCD drivers and backlights, enables KOE to provide an extensive range of optimized and rugged display solutions. KOE plans to increase its product portfolio to capture a greater market share in both TFT and custom STN displays. KOE will maintain the renowned Japanese dedication for the design and manufacture of high quality products. 

KOE LCDs and modules are found in products used every day such as broadcast production equipment, medical and ultra sound imaging equipment, in-dash and seatback entertainment systems, navigation systems as well as hand held mobile devices. KOE displays provide optimum readability and high performance characteristics for the most demanding applications. We also provide panel+ accessories and services to our customers.
