PEDRICK Benders are primarily pipe and tubing benders, although they can be tooled to bend solid bar stock (round, square & rectangular), plate, channels, angle iron, concrete reinforcing bar, extrusions, and many other custom shapes. Our machines are heavy-duty, easy to operate, rotary head machines that operate on the compression bending principle and use no hydraulics. Tooling changeovers are quick and easy and can be accomplished with standard hand tools.  The compression bending process makes no use of internal support in the form of a mandrel.  Since we do not employ a mandrel, there is a minimum centerline radius that we can bend pipe and tubing to, and that is 3 times the nominal pipe or tubing diameter.  Also, since we do not use a mandrel, there is no scoring or deforming of the interior wall of the pipe or tube.  The best bends are obtained on a 5D bending radius and they meet NRC, US Navy & Coast Guard specifications.  Bends that are produced on a 3D bending radius meet API, ANSI (Boiler Code) and ASTM specifications.
