Triad Technology, located in Boulder, Colorado, is a supplier of precision wavelength reference cells, and fiber coupled broadband light sources. Their precision wavelength reference cells contain both gas and vapor type reference cells.  They maintain an in-house inventory of their standard gas and vapor cells. Typical delivery time is 1 to 2 days on their standard reference cells. Triad Technology can also supply custom vapor and gas cells. Their standard broadband light source products cover a wavelength range of 1510-1640 nm. Their broadband SLD devices have greater than 1mW of power coupled into a single mode fiber. Typical lead-time is 2-3 weeks. Other wavelength ranges are available upon request.

Triad Technology offers two bench-top instruments. The first is a single mode fiber super luminescent diode, SLD, with current driver and temperature controller. The second is a calibration reference cell calibration system. The calibration system contains a SLD light source and up to two wavelength reference cells. The light source and wavelength reference cells are configured to customer specifications.

Triad Technology’s fiber coupled reference cells come standard with one of the three gases; Acetylene, Hydrogen Cyanide, and Carbon Monoxide. The absorption spectrum of these four gases covers a wavelength range from 1510 nm using Acetylene to 1680 nm using Carbon Monoxide isotope 13. The single mode fiber collimators are adjusted for optimal transmission through the reference cell.

Triad Technology offers a wide variety of vapor and gas reference cells in many configurations. The purity level of the natural elements used in manufacturing all vapor cells is greater than 99%. Before shipping, all vapor cells are tested to ensure the optical quality of the cell’s windows and to detect any impurity that may be present in the cell.
