Ultra Electronics Precision Air & Land Systems, a division of the Ultra Electronics group of businesses is the leading manufacturer of compact on-board gas solutions for the Aerospace and Defense industries. Ultra provides custom integrated pneumatic system solutions incorporating a range of technologies including the HiPPAG high performance on-board compressor systems, gas storage vessels, lightweight and compact pressure regulators, relief valves, fast acting solenoid valves, pure air filters and air dryers and high pressure pipes and hoses.
Ultra’s technology is currently applied in three major areas:
Infrared Detector Cooling
The supply of on-board high pressure pure air to cool infrared detectors incorporated within air launched missile seekers and other platforms.
Stores Ejection and Release
The supply of high-pressure dry air for the forced ejection of air launched munitions from fast jet aircraft and unmanned Combat Air Vehicles (UCAV’s).
Pneumatic Systems
A range of custom designed solutions for a variety of applications such as integrated gas supply systems, fin actuation and deployment, radar waveguide pressurization and seal inflation. Applications include land based and airborne platforms.
