APSX Launches First Ever Desktop Liquid Silicone Rubber Injection Molding Machine: APSX-LSR

APSX LLC, the company behind the widely adopted APSX-PIM desktop thermopla-tic injection molding machine, today announced the official debut of APSX-LSR, the market’s first bench-top Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) injection system designed for engineers, med-tech startups, and research labs that need production-quality silicone parts—without a six-figure budget or clean-room footprint. APSX LLC has already disrupted thermoplastic molding with the APSX-PIM injection machines since 2017.

“We built APSX-LSR so innovators can go from CAD to functional silicone parts in hours, not months,” said Kubi Kara, Co-Founder of APSX. “At 115 VAC and under 1 kW of power draw, it literally plugs into a standard wall outlet but still delivers a 6 gram shot in 63 seconds— on par with the single cavity cycles published by industrial LSR presses from ARBURG® and ENGEL® but with a 95% lower capital cost.”

Conventional LSR machines cost $200k+ and require three-phase power, chilled water, and dedicated floor space, putting true silicone molding out of reach for most R&D teams. APSX-LSR shrinks the capital investment to under $15k “early-bird pricing” while integrating:

• Cold material feed / hot mold split for precision cure control
• All electric actuation and integrated pump metering
• Built-in touchscreen user interface with multiple settings profile storage
• Quick change material cartridge setup for ≤5 minute material swaps
