Working with the customer’s mechanical and application engineers, Boca Bearings’ engineering team was able to identify an exact match for the challenge. Boca Bearings supported the development of a 3/8” silicon nitride (Si3N4) ball manufactured in one of our contracted factories under our strict quality control assurance from inception to delivery.

Boca Bearings’ precision ceramic technology custom-engineered the new ceramic ball used in the product and provided a reliable production source to supply our customer’s manufacturing processes. The new ceramic ball improved the consistency of accurate measurements and reduced system failure rate from 27% down to 3%, while reducing down-time by 80%.
