Blending and Coating Agricultural Chemicals in the Rollo-Mixer® Batch Mixer
Uniform distribution of low AIs (Active Ingredients) is critical in this industry. The Rollo-Mixer® Batch Mixer is involved in processing the entire spectrum of ag chemical products including: rodenticides, fungicides, biocides, algaecides, coating granular insecticides and mixing powder herbicides. Some fire ant baits are formulated to a label spec of only 50 ppm (parts per million), using granular carriers such as Biodac and Ecogranule without particle degradation or creating fines. Our mixing and coating technology allows our customers to achieve target specifications on every batch, thus eliminating the need to over-formulate or rework product. The Rollo-Mixer® Batch Mixer is ideal for encapsulating plant growth enhancers as well.

Continental's product testing facility has accommodated more than 2,000 blending and coating trials over many decades. Our test facility is equipped with a variety of Rollo-Mixer® test models, liquid spray systems and heating and cooling capabilities. Companies that visit us can test their products utilize utilize one of 6 versions of the Rollo-Mixer®. Visibility is a key factor in helping us learn how products behave and adapting our coating technology to suit the application. Continental is able to share their years of experience testing a wide variety of products, helping accelerate the transfer from development to production. Scale up is 1:1 from pilot to production.
