Dual-Gas Methane/Carbon Dioxide Infrared sensors-Image

Dynament’s advanced dual-gas infrared sensors are engineered to measure methane (CH?) and carbon dioxide (CO?) simultaneously within a single compact sensor unit—while consuming the power of just one standard infrared sensor. This efficient design helps extend battery life, making it ideal for use in portable gas detection equipment.

As an added benefit, all models include a pre-characterized 0–2% propane (C?H?) range as standard, enhancing versatility across a wide range of gas detection applications.

These sensors leverage proven non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) technology to deliver precise, real-time gas measurements. Configurations are available with detection ranges up to:
100% volume methane
5% volume carbon dioxide

The dedicated hydrocarbon channel enables simultaneous measurement of both high-resolution methane and propane.

Measurement Resolutions:
Methane (CH?): 0.01% from 0–10% vol., and 0.1% from 10–100% vol.
Carbon Dioxide (CO?): 0.01% vol. across the 0–5% range

These dual-gas sensors are part of Dynament’s Platinum Series, and are available in multiple compliance options:
Industrial Ex d IIC Certified
Mining M1 Certified
UL Approved
Non-Certified versions

Low-power variants and versions with EN50271 / SIL1-certified software are also available across all configurations.

To support configuration and integration, the Premier Configuration Unit is designed specifically for use with Platinum Series sensors. It allows for:

Customisation of user-defined parameters
Sensor calibration
Data logging
Firmware updates
