A cross between a regular twist drill and a spade bit, Brad Point drills feature a sharp tip at the end of the drill. This tip bites into the wood and helps keep the drill from “wandering” when first starting to drill. The tip also makes it easy to accurately position the drill, so the hole ends up exactly where you want it. They can be used in either handheld drills or drill presses.
