If you spend any time reading about data centers, you'd think every company is building AI clusters with liquid cooling and hundreds of GPU servers. They're not.

Most businesses still rely on something much less exciting, but far more common: the IT closet. It's the room down the hall. Sometimes it's a converted storage room. Sometimes it's tucked behind the receptionist's desk. It might not look impressive, but it's where the network lives. If that room goes down, so does everything connected to it.

We've built racks and cabinets for these spaces for decades, and one thing hasn't changed. A well-designed IT closet makes life easier. A poorly designed one becomes everyone's problem.
