The submersible demo
The demo skid consists of 2 tanks (top clear tank & lower stainless-steel reservoir), an electric pump, 2 actuators, 2 valves, a control panel and level control sensors. The system is controlled automatically via a control panel and level sensor feedback mounted to the upper tank. The demo was designed to provide a visual representation of the submersible capability Indelac’s M-Series NEMA 6P actuator.
The system sends a signal to the S-Series actuator to open the external fill valve, turns on the pump and pumps water from the lower reservoir tank up to the waterfall spout filling the upper catch basin tank and submerging the M-Series actuator. The waterfall spout represents water flowing into a catch basin from a drain which could be located on a street or in a factory floor etc.
The Submersible M-Series actuator with NEMA 6P enclosure then gets rained down on in the catch basin, the basin continues to fill until the actuator is fully submerged. When the water level reaches a pre-determined volume, to submerge the actuator, the high-level sensor is triggered sending a signal to the M-Series actuator (which is now under water) to open the drain valve and begin draining the basin back down into the lower reservoir tank. When the basin has reached the predetermine low level (upper tank is fully drained) the low-level sensor sends a signal to the actuator in the tank to close the basin’s drain valve, turn on the pump, open the secondary actuator, and begin filling the upper tank basin again.
The process is repeated continuously taking about 10=12 minutes to fully fill, drain, and begin filling again.
