Test weights are essential in ensuring security and certifying a safe work environment for people working with or around crane and hoist equipment.

Mars Metal Company, a North American leader in designing and producing test weights, recently worked with an industrial commercial client based in Midwest USA to meet their custom requirements for test weights.

We were approached by the client with the requirement of producing test weights that could be handled by a crane hook or forklift.

The client’s requirements for the test weights were:

• Had to be rugged
• Easily transportable
• Have a limited footprint of 48 square inches
• Required a variety of different weights that were stackable and interchangeable

In our case study, we discuss how we solved the client’s problem by providing all steel stackable weights within a reasonable delivery time.
