Dynamic Power Limitation (DPL) is an automatic function included in our Access and Lion battery charger series. Simply activate it to reduce those high power peaks and decrease costs. By using DPL you can control a selected group of chargers and set the available power according to your preferences, making sure that your electric bill never comes as a surprise.

DPL eliminates high power peaks and expensive electrical bills by ensuring that a defined group of battery chargers doesn’t exceed the main’s power available. It also eliminates the risk for high power peaks caused by simultaneous fast and opportunity charging. Dynamic Power Limitation gives you full power when available and shared power when needed – without any operator input.

Keep fast charge your batteries

As larger vehicles are becoming electrified, high-voltage products and larger batteries have become more common. Li-ion batteries are perfectly suited for fast and opportunity charging, making it possible to maximize up time in daily operations and to charge the electric vehicles during coffee breaks or lunches.

DPL is perfect for fast and opportunity charging, but also 2-shift operations where all electrical vehicles are charged simultaneously during the night. This can also cause power peaks if they are charging with high current. The DLP function makes power allocation possible, eliminating the risk of expensive electric bills.
