Definition
In inrunner motors, the stator is mounted within a frame, and the rotor is attached to a shaft or a rotating machine part inside the stator. The other way around is an outrunner motor. The stator stays stationary at the motor’s center, and the rotor, designed like a ring, spins around it. Each type has its advantages and disadvantages.
