Mansfield, Texas, USA – June 21, 2007 – Mouser Electronics, Inc., known for its rapid introduction of the newest products, today announced it has expanded its global distribution agreement with Fujitsu Components America to include the FDK line of DC-DC converters. This agreement makes Mouser the sole North American distributor for the FDK products. "Fujitsu Components America is pleased to expand its relationship with Mouser Electronics by adding the FDK line of DC-DC converters to our relay, connector, thermal printer, and resistive touch panel lines that Mouser currently distributes," says Don Dealtry, Fujitsu Components' President and Chief Operating Officer. “Mouser's renowned reputation and market presence strongly enhances our product distribution channels into the design engineering community." According to Barry McConnell, Mouser Vice President of Product Marketing, expanding the relationship with Fujitsu to exclusively deliver their FDK line of DC-DC converters reaffirms Mouser’s mission to provide the newest products and technologies to design engineering customers, while also saving them time-to-market.” "We are pleased to introduce these innovative products to our customers,” McConnell said. “Exclusively stocking the FDK converters is just the type of new product introductions our engineering customers expect from Mouser.” FDK’s standard DC-DC converters include the Senpai and Sensei series featuring full-rated output current with little or no de-rating at high ambient temperature. Leading-edge thermal performance is the result of the electrical, thermal, and packaging design that is optimized for high-density circuit card conditions. The Senpai series of low input voltage POLs delivers up to 10A in the smallest industry-standard footprint. These non-isolated DC-DC converters are designed for Intermediate Bus Architecture (IBA) and Distributed Power Architecture (DPA) applications that require high-efficiency, tight regulation, and high reliability in elevated temperature environments with low airflow. These devices feature 5.0V DC input and 3.3V DV output, an ambient temperature of 85°C with natural convection cooling. The Sensei series of isolated brick DC-DC converters provide up to 180W of output power with minimal de-rating at elevated temperatures and no required heat sinks. These converters are ideal for Intermediate Bus Architecture (IBA) and Distributed Power Architecture (DPA) in telecommunications, data processing, computing, and storage applications requiring a regulated 12V distribution bus. With a 48V DC input, the converters provide 15A and 14A of output current in ambient temperatures up to 60°C with 400 LFM (2m/s) airflow.
