Overview

Red Pitaya is revolutionizing the test and measurement market by providing an affordable, multifunctional solution that can replace several expensive instruments. Red Pitaya can speed up the development and prototyping process or help with application debugging. Due to its affordable price tag, it can drastically cut the costs of a test setup, hence why many important names in the automotive, aerospace, telecommunications and medical segments trust Red Pitaya.

In this webinar, you will learn how Red Pitaya can solve multiple technical challenges and how easy it is to replace other instruments with this compact board or integrate it into your own product. Our product manager will show you how easy it is to use different programming languages and how you can do remote measurements with your board.

You will also see some of the greatest examples of Red Pitaya in use. Discover how NASA was able to integrate our product in their spacecraft atmosphere monitoring device for measurements of air quality on ISS and how it served as the test-bench for the ground penetrating radar on the next Mars Helicopter. See how its size and portability make Red Pitaya a perfect choice for cutting-edge projects, like a drone-based land mine detection system.

A design engineer from HIGHVOLT GmbH will then present how Red Pitaya was used for partial discharge measurements and how they compared it against several competing devices on the market. He will talk about Red Pitaya's real time processing capabilities and how its robustness allowed them to execute measurements more effectively.

Speakers

Nicu Irimia, Product Manager, Red Pitaya

Irimia, advises our customers and works closely with the CTO. A graduate of the Technical Military Academy in Romania as an electronics engineer, he gathered 10 years of experience as an RF field engineer in a military institution before transferring to sales. He then worked as a Technical Sales Engineer at one of the largest electronics companies in the world, National Instruments. He has now been working as a product manager at Red Pitaya for more than three years, assuming tasks ranging from sales to business development and technical support.

Christoph Steiner, Design Engineer Measuring Systems, HIGHVOLT

Steiner studied electrical engineering from 2015-2020 at the University of Applied Sciences Dresden. In this time, he received a diploma in electric power systems as well as a master’s degree in process informatics. Since then, his profession lies in the field of high throughput real-time signal processing for high voltage applications as Measuring Design Engineer at HIGHVOLT. His current research focuses on the analysis of partial discharges by means of machine learning algorithms and real-time signal processing.
