The 8A Series OPTA is the name of a completely new range of Industrial Smart Relays or Programmable Logic Relays (PLRs), perfect for easily creating intelligent logic in industrial, OEM or building automation projects.
Finder’s industrial know-how meets the open-source innovation of Arduino Pro, bringing you a product that is truly unique in the market. The products are innovative and connected with Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth® Low Energy technology and are programmable without licenses using Arduino IDE or IEC/EN 61131 programming languages such as LADDER, FBD, etc. They also have enhanced IoT security thanks to the secure element chip.

Simon has 40 years of experience in the electrical/electronic engineering field.
Starting at 16 years old as an apprentice for GEC based in Stone, Staffordshire, Simon studied electrical/electronic engineering to HNC level and worked within the engineering development department, developing and approval testing domestic and industrial energy meters.
He also has 10 years of experience as an area sales engineer selling board-level components solutions to OEMs, which has expanded his knowledge even more within the industry. Next, came 14 years as a field application engineer for an international automation and control manufacturer, where he was responsible for all aspects of support for the whole range of control and automation products. These include Nano PLC’s, HMI touch screens and networking solutions.
In 2023, Simon joined Finder PLC in Stone, Staffordshire, as Technical Manager with the responsibility for new product introductions, customer training and support. Drawing on his varied skill set, he is well-placed to ensure customer expectations are met in the best ways possible.
