Michael Fitzgerald, Director, Strategy and Commercialization - Nuclear, HSB

Michael earned a B.S. in marine engineering from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and master’s degrees in engineering management and mechanical engineering from the Catholic University of America. He’s worked as an engineering manager for several federal agencies, including the Nuclear Regulatory Commission where he served as a nuclear-qualified surface warfare officer. He is licensed as a professional engineer in Tennessee and the District of Columbia and is an adjunct faculty member of CUA’s School of Engineering.

Scott Carey, ISO Services Technical Manager, HSB

Scott Carey is the ISO Certification Manager for HSB and holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration in accounting. He’s been with HSB for sixteen years. Prior to working for HSB, he was a quality manager for a tier-one automotive supplier and responsible for environmental and occupational health and safety regulatory compliance and incident investigations. He has more than 29 years’ experience in supplier audits, third-party auditing, and consulting. He currently chairs the Technical Advisory Council for one of the leading accreditation bodies in the United States.
