Overview

Explore Infineon’s 12 V motor control solutions and how highly integrated system approaches address key trends in automotive electronics, particularly in body and thermal management applications. Beyond reducing system cost and footprint, today’s designs must also meet increasing demands for functional safety, security, and reduced complexity, while enabling faster time to market.

Building on the well-established MOTIX™ TLE98xx portfolio, Infineon now introduces a new generation of motor control system-on-chip (SoC) and system-in-package (SiP) solutions based on a platform approach. This strategy enables software synergies across product families, helping customers simplify development and reuse existing know-how.

MOTIX™ motor control SoC/SiP solutions are based on Arm® Cortex®-M processors and integrate a voltage regulator, LIN or CAN communication interfaces, and driver stages for both brushed and brushless DC motor control. A key innovation in this portfolio is a new class of solutions that integrates MOSFETs, combining all essential components required to drive a motor into a single device. These all-in-one solutions enable extremely compact designs—down to sizes smaller than a postage stamp—without compromising on performance.

The MOTIX™ MCU portfolio offers powerful capabilities, including CPU frequencies of up to 60 MHz, up to 256 kB of Flash memory, and scalable driver concepts suitable for a wide range of motor types, from small actuators such as valves to more complex systems.

Key Takeaways

  • Enable more compact and simplified designs with next-generation all-in-one MOTIX™ MCU solutions, reducing system complexity and footprint
  • Accelerate development cycles through the platform-based MOTIX™ TLE99xxx family, leveraging software reuse and cross-product synergies
  • Ensure a smooth and efficient design-in with a comprehensive ecosystem including ready-to-use tools, software, and support
