Stirring Rods Information
Laboratory stirring rods are a piece of laboratory equipment used to mix chemicals and liquids. Stirring rods are usually made of solid or hollow glass materials being borosilicate (Pyrex) or polypropylene.
Applications
Stirring rods are used for mixing liquid or used to spread media on a petri dish. Another use for stirring rods is to break up an emulsion during an extraction.
