Help with Wire Harness Testers specifications:
Tester Specifications
Back to Top
Test Points | Enter the number of wires, tracings, or contact points that the device can test simultaneously.
Search Logic: | User may specify either, both, or neither of the "At Least" and "No More Than" values. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
Test Resistance | Enter the resistance value(s) of the object(s) being tested.
Search Logic: | User may specify either, both, or neither of the "At Least" and "No More Than" values. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
Maximum Voltage | Enter the voltage applied to each tested circuit. Typically, suppliers provide the maximum voltage.
Search Logic: | All matching products will have a value greater than or equal to the specified value.
Maximum Current | Enter the current for each point test. Typically, suppliers provide the maximum current.
Search Logic: | All matching products will have a value greater than or equal to the specified value.
Isolation Voltage | Isolation voltage represents the level of electrical isolation between the testing equipment and the device or cable being tested. A high value indicates low interference with the tested device and can be important in delicate operations.
Search Logic: | User may specify either, both, or neither of the "At Least" and "No More Than" values. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
Configuration

Configuration | |||
Your choices are... | |||
Handheld | Devices are handheld. Typically, a user holds the device in one hand and operates it with the other.
Computer Board | Devices are designed to be installed in a personal computer (PC) or used as a sub-card in a larger instrument.
Benchtop | Benchtop instruments are portable and often include handles.
Floor-Standing | Devices are floor-standing units
Other | Other unlisted, specialized, or proprietary configuration.
Search Logic: | All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
Test Features

Test Features | |||
Your choices are... | |||
Automated Testing | Devices provide an automated testing mode that does not require constant user setup and operation.
Capacitors | Devices test capacitors in the test circuit.
Diodes | Devices test diodes in the test circuit.
Resistors | Devices test resistors in the test circuit.
Hipot | Devices can apply high potential (Hipot) tests to determine conformance with isolation requirements.
Other | Other unlisted or specialized test features.
Search Logic: | All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
Data Logging | Devices record test results for later analysis, statistical reports, etc.
Search Logic: | "Required" and "Must Not Have" criteria limit returned matches as specified. Products with optional attributes will be returned for either choice.
