Dytran is excited to announce the addition of Model 3823A1 to our robust line of triaxial accelerometers. This low-profile sensor was designed to measure vibration events on unmanned aerial systems and can also be used in several other lab applications.

This model incorporates a unique 2-hole mounting configuration that allows for multi-directional mounting. Standard mounting configurations, such as a screw mounting configuration, consist of a tapped hole in the housing which typically adds to the height of a sensor, making it too tall for applications that require a low profile. Model 3823A1 features a small profile which allows it to be used in applications with space constraints. This model also utilizes a quartz sensing element that provides long-term thermal stability and a low thermal coefficient of sensitivity; in other words, the sensitivity changes very little from room temperature to higher temperatures. Units are case isolated with an internal Faraday shield to avoid EMI/ground loop interference.
