An excellent floor coating for foot traffic areas where slip resistance is important, Firmfoot has been manufactured and sold by FORREST Technical Coatings for more than 20 years. Our proprietary grit gives the coating slip resistance that exceeds both static and dynamic testing standards for floor coatings.
With a unique balance of one-part epoxy with the right grit, the result is a surface that works to create tractions for shoes or barefeet. One of the features of this coating is that it is gentle on bare feet - it does not feel abrasive like tapes and other slip resistant techniques.
Firmfoot is available in 12 standard colors, including OSHA Yellow and OSHA Orange. These colors make it easy to designate differing traffic areas.
Firmfoot in the aerosol spray can is very easy to use, especially for steps and small areas.
Firmfoot in quarts, gallons or 5 gallon containers can be applied using a roller system for epoxies. The product is available in solvent based formulations for agressive adhesion to many substrates. The product is also avaible in an easy to use water-reducible formula that has less impact on the environment.
Firmfoot is not recommended for areas where forklifts or other heavy equipment will travel. It is not recommende for garage floors. Forrest Paint Co. offers other floor coating solutions for these types of uses. The coating is not formulated for submersion.
