Schaltbau S850 Series snap-action switches integrate two safety switches in one housing.  It is an elegant solution for control system constructors who want to increase the safety level without having to invest in additional hardware, installation or programming.

The S850 creates a redundant system. This is possible since galvanically separated and mechanically linked contact bridges prevent the faulty power connection between two switching circuits. This means that two power circuits can be controlled that are on different electrical levels. These two switching circuits are opened synchronously, with a time difference of max. 3 milliseconds.
