In the converting industry we have all kinds of webs to control tension on, from the bonding of a zip lock strip to a plastic web for making zip lock bags to folding carton stock. The correct tension for these various webs varies greatly. Virtually any material processed in a strip form has tension. The amount of pull or torque applied to the strip creates the tension. This now must be controlled for printing, registration, coating, laminating, guiding and to prevent wrinkles during the process. Products & Services
Surface tension measuring instruments measure fluid surface tension, a tangential force that keeps a fluid together at the air/fluid interface. Surface tension is a direct indicator of the quality of any chemical and any formulation.
Tension meters are instruments that measure tension in cable, fiber, belts and webs, or sheets.
Converting services cut large, usually roll stock materials into smaller, usable shape and sizes.
Web tension sensors are used to measure static or running tension in webs or sheets during the manufacture of textiles, paper, and other sheet materials.
Sheeters used to cut rolls of material into individual sheets. Sheeting systems may also include equipment for stacking, slitting and other secondary operations.
