From Advanced Drilling Solutions: Lessons from the FSU, Volume I
ConclusionsElectrodrilling technology can be considered a commercial drilling method similar to the worldwide use of rotary and HDHMs technology. Electrodrilling combines some of the advantages of both rotary and HDHM methods, including:
An electrodrilling system is effectively applied in complicated geological conditions and old reservoirs where weighted mud or different mud mixtures must be used. The application of electrodrills is very promising in directional, horizontal, multilateral, and research boreholes. EDM for CTD is one of the best opportunities to overcome the current CTD problems. That is the area where all the disadvantages of EDM with standard single joint pipe vanish. On the other hand, the best cable electrodrilling ideas could be realized in CTD, so we could now be back on the right path.

Products & Services
Drilling rigs are machines that creates holes (boreholes) and/or shafts in the ground. They are equipped with deck engines or truck engines, hoists or lifts, compressors, pumps, and pipe-handling equipment.

Electrical contacts and contact materials are soft, high-conductivity, oxidation- resistant materials that are used in circuit breakers, relays, switches, and electrical discharge machining (EDM) applications. They often have a second phase in order to provide anti-welding and/or arc resistance.
