The Stainless Steel video features Brock
Klein in Sales and Henry Dominicis in Engineering discussing the benefits and
applications for this line of flexible electrical conduits. The benefits of
utilizing a stainless steel flexible conduit is that it provides exceptional
resistance to corrosive atmospheres where standard plated steel
may not be adequate. It also provides additional high mechanical strength due
to its construction. These are put to the test with both a crush test
to test core strength and an ASTM B117-Inspired Salt Water Corrosion Resistance
Experient to test its corrosion-resistance
Five varieties of jacketed stainless steel flexible conduits and one unjacketed conduit are available. These types provide a broad array of variations dedicated to specific applications, such as Food Processing, Wastewater Treatment Facilities, Oil & Gas Refineries, Ship Building, Steel Mills, Power Plants, and Defense.
Electri-Flex is a family-owner business based in Roselle, IL that produces high-quality flexible conduit.
Electri-Flex Company has released a NEW All Product Training Presentation. It features the entire line of nearly 40 varieties of flexible electrical conduits, including features and benefits of each product, as well as their ideal applications. Product categories include: Jacketed Metallic, EMI/RFI Shielded, Unjacketed Metallic, Nonmetallic, and the Corrlok line of Nylon Conduits & Connectors.
Electri-Flex manufactures many varieties of Zero-Halogen flexible electrical conduits that virtually eliminate the release of the toxic gases found in PVC products. These low fire hazard conduit types are made of polyurethane and nylon jackets and omit low amounts of non-toxic smoke, have a low flame spread, are self-extinguishing, and are non-halogen emitting. Fedoruk states, "The main reason why we use our Zero-Halogen conduit is public safety concerns, especially in confined areas, which are the ideal application installation." All Zero-Halogen flexible conduits fall well below the allowable maximums for the following standards:
· UL 94 & UL 360 for flammability
· ASTM E162 for low flame spread
· ASTM E662 for low smoke generation
· Bombardier SMP800-C for toxic gas production
ELECTRI-FLEX releases a new video featuring its line of CSA Certified "Heavy-Duty" flexible conduit, Liquatite® Types LA, ZHLA, CBLA, and CSA. These products all passed additional testing for tension, cold flexibility, connector compatibility, and crush tests to conform to C22.2 No. 56-17 Annex A "Heavy-Duty" for CSA Certification.
The video features and discusses these Heavy-Duty tests and parameters and they include:
· Tension - Withstands greater tension force.
· Cold Flexibility - Superior flexibility in cold temperatures.
· Connector Compatibility - Stronger connector attachment.
· Crush - Excellent crush strength.
Electri-Flex Company manufactures many varieties of flexible electrical conduits that solve design challenges providing additional features above and beyond standard liquidtight conduit, such as, corrosion-resistance
