The recently published UNE-EN 45560:2026 standard proposes a method for achieving circular product designs. It specifies the principles and requirements, and provides guidance related to the proposed method.

With a life cycle approach as a basic principle, this document provides guidance on how to reduce environmental impacts and deal with challenges, such as trade-offs, during the circular design of a product, without compromising other product functions, including safety.
